AESTHETICIZED & F*ck*ng P*rv*rts Present - WORTHY!!

Worthy (Dirty Bird / Leftroom Ltd / Anabatic)

Worthy grew up around Washington DC in the early days of Deep Dish, Scott Henry and the early American rave scene. In the late 90's after moving to New York City, he met good friend Justin Martin and was exposed to the sounds of people like LTJ Bukem, Stacey Pullen and Sasha. These artists greatly influenced his early ear while the expanding dance music scene encouraged him to play records of all genres; from hip hop to breaks to techno and drum 'n' bass.

In 2001 Worthy moved to San Francisco. He set up his studio and began producing house and techno music and DJing around the city. He later conspired with Christian Martin, Justin Martin and Claude VonStroke to co-create a fresh take on outdoor parties, rightly named Dirtybird. The Dirtybird parties have quickly become an institution for San Francisco die-hards and a destination for international travelers.

2006 brought the launch of Worthy's label, Anabatic Records. Originally intended as an outlet for the release of his own music, Anabatic quickly branched out to take on new artists. Anabatic has been providing a steady stream of high quality tech house and has been gaining the praises of top DJs and Producers around the globe for its edgy new sound.

In 2007 Worthy broke out as a producer with his release of Irst_Te? on Dirtybird, Crack EL EP on Leftroom, and Bass Quake and Mummer EP on Anabatic. As well as doing remixes for Curfew, OM, Utensil, and Tentigo records. In 2008 Worthy released his underground hit Work The Walls on his label and its accompanying music video has given fans a glimpse into the la la land of his mind. He followed this up with his Madcap EP and remixes on Lot49, Fresh Meat, and Anabatic. Worthy’s music production has been showing up on DJ charts across the world and has been played by everyone from Carl Cox to Sven Vath to Ben Watt.

With no signs of slowing down in 2009, Worthy has already released the Swing Chord EP on Trapez Ltd, and has teamed up with label mate Yankee Zulu to release the Bad Side EP and BS Connection EP on Playtime records and there huge summer smash hit Concumbia on Anabatic. With plenty more remixes and originals on the way and the continued growth of Anabatic Records, Worthy is set to continue getting everyone working the walls around the world.

F*CK*NG P*RV*RTS
Spawned from a group of individuals on the same path towards a common goal, Andy Mara, Butch Johnson a.k.a NasT1, M.E.E.K.O. & Steve Graham decided since there is strength in numbers, why not traverse this journey together and see what comes of it. Well what came of it was the formation of the “f*ck*ng p*rv*rts”. A crew of down to earth party people wishing to bring together a few hundred of their closest friends in some of the more intimate environments surrounded by lush beats and rolling basslines.

U-Night 2 - Annual DJ showcase - Saturday November 21st

FULL FLIER

"Building on last year's successful U-Night party, we bring to you the 2nd installment which is sure to be much improved! For this event, we move to a much bigger, classier, multi-room venue which is needed to accommodate a party of this caliber. The purpose of U-Night is to help unify Tampa Bay's underground electronic dance music scene. The ‘U’ stands for underground, ‘Night’ represents the actual night of the event, but together ‘U-Night’ is a pun for unite. This is not only a showcase of local talent, but also a networking event in which we hope to connect DJs, producers, fans, EDM enthusiasts, and party people together for future endeavors."

Come out early as the event starts at 8pm. The line up is very strong top to bottom, so come out and support your local dj's and producers!

I held out as long as I could...

Which I guess really wasnt long at all, but this past weekend I caved and joined in the millions of tweeters on Twitter. And to be honest, it seems to be a pretty useful site. In this day and age of technological advancements, seemingly taking us further away from actual human and social contact, Twitter has the somewhat odd ability of keeping us in close, allbeit cyber, contact with the people we care about. Of course there are the myriad celebrities you can "follow" if you're in to that sort of thing, and yes at the end of the day it will probably turn into another online addiction. But lets face it, we're destined to be strapped to these computers and mobile devices for the rest of our lives anyway, we may as well let everyone know what we're doing in the mean time right?
